All customers are expected to accept having read the below when placing their order:

1.  Business Information & Compliance

●      Regulatory Notice: Tan Bam Bakery operates as a home-based food business. Our products are prepared in ahome kitchen that is not subject to public health inspection. We strictly limit our production to "low-risk foods" as defined by the BC Ministry of Health and adhere to all Food Safe practices.

2.  Products and Allergens

●      Handmade Nature: Due to the artisanal nature of our products, variations in shape, colour, and size are expected. All items are weighed for accuracy prior to baking.

●      Allergen Warning: Our kitchen handles wheat, dairy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, and soy. While we follow strict sanitation protocols, we cannot guarantee any product is 100% free of trace allergens. Customers are responsible for notifying us of any allergies at the time of order.

3.  Ordering and Payment

●      Lead Times: Sourdough loaves require a minimum of 48 hours' notice; cookies require 24 hours.

●      Payment: Orders must be paid in full at the time of booking via [Website/E-transfer] to secure your delivery or pickup slot.

●      Modifications: If an error is found after ordering, contact us immediately. We will attempt to accommodate changes, but if the baking process has begun, the customer agrees to pay for the order as originally placed.

4.  Delivery and Pickup

●      Standard Terms: Free delivery within North Burnaby and Burquitlam. A $15 fee applies to other Burnaby areas. Orders over $50 qualify for free delivery within Burnaby.

●      Access & Safety: Deliveries are usually made in a mid-size 4WD truck (6'2" clearance). Customers must ensure a safe, accessible path. If a location is inaccessible due to construction, ice, or lack of truck-friendly parking, the customer may be required to meet the driver at the curb.

●      Completion of Sale: Once the order has been delivered according to the customer's specific instructions (e.g., left on a porch or with a concierge), Tan Bam Bakery is no longer responsible for the product. This includes damage from weather, pests, or theft.

●      Failed Delivery: If delivery is impossible due to incomplete instructions or no contact, the customer remains responsible for the full cost of the order. A re-delivery fee will apply for a second attempt.

5.  Cancellations and Dissatisfaction

●      Cancellations: At least 24 hours' notice is required. If prep work has already begun, a

50% cancellation fee applies to cover ingredient costs and labor.

●      Issues & Replacements: If you are dissatisfied or receive a damaged product, you must contact us with a photo within 24 hours of receipt. Resolutions (refunds or replacements) are handled on a case-by-case basis.

6.  Limitation of Liability

●      To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tan Bam Bakery’s total liability for any claim—whether in contract,tort, or otherwise—arising from the purchase or delivery of our products shall not exceed the total price paid by the customer for that specific order.

7.  Privacy and Intellectual Property

●      Data: Information collected is used solely for order fulfillment and internal sales reporting. We do not sell or disclose your data to third parties.

●      Content: All images and digital content are the intellectual property of Tan Bam Bakery and may not be used without written permission.
